National Railway Museum York

Hello everyone

I hope you are all ok and having a lovely week.

Today mummy, daddy and I went the the National Railway Museum in York.
We got there for when the doors opened at 10 this morning and left at 3 this afternoon!!

We had great fun. We rode behind a locomotive from the Festiniog railway in Wales. We are going there later in the year too so I was very excited to see it.

We then saw Paddington Bear in the main museum, lots of locomotives and looked at lots of books and photos by searching in the archives upstairs which they call the 'Search Engine'. Daddy works with steam locomotives so he was looking for things for work but I helped too.

While in the museum I found a Hunslet engine and side tipping wagon used to help build the channel tunnel.
Basically the whole day was very good as far as I was concerned.

Then back to my grandparents house for tea. We are staying in Yorkshire until the weekend so I'll let you know what else we get up to.

Lots of love
